SurveysSurveys are required to determine the current situation within a facility. Many municipalities and regions in Ontario require businesses to conduct regular surveys to determine the risk to the water source. Depending on the situation, you may be required to install backflow devices to resolve potential hazards. Preparation of Drawings and Permit ApplicationsPermits are required every time you install a backflow prevention device and may even be required when you move a drain pipe. Each municipality or region in Ontario has different permit requirements and, in some cases, the permit must be approved by a designer or an engineer. Our extensive experience provides our clients with realistic space and cost saving designs, by offering unique solutions to complex installations. Managed TestingThe Backflow prevention device is a mechanical check valve that does not allow water to flow in the opposite direction that it was intended for. This device requires regular annual maintenance to ensure it is operating as it was intended. Even the basic testing procedures are quite involved and we firmly believe that testers should be exercising these procedures on a regular ongoing basis. It is the documentation of those same test procedures, and the results they provide that is paramount in maintaining a successful Backflow Prevention Device Program.
